The Basilica of Ste. Anne de Detroit is more than a church—it is a spiritual home, community, and a living testament to the generations who have built their faith within its walls. It is a place where families gather, where traditions are passed down, and where faith is renewed. As the second oldest continuously operating parish in the country, Ste. Anne’s has long been a beacon of hope, welcoming Detroiters of all backgrounds, especially immigrant families seeking refuge and belonging.
For us, this mission is deeply personal. Detroit is where our story began—where William J. Pulte built not just homes, but a legacy of faith, integrity, and service that continues to shape us today. Like so many who have passed through the doors of Ste. Anne’s, our family’s roots are tied to both faith and hard work. We also recognize the Church’s vital role in welcoming and strengthening immigrant communities, providing not just a place to worship, but a foundation for belonging. Ste. Anne’s embodies that mission, standing as a pillar of both tradition and renewal in the heart of this neighborhood and beyond.
By relieving the financial burden on parish leaders and bringing new resources and partnerships to the Basilica, we believe the Catholic Initiative model will strengthen and sustain Ste. Anne’s into perpetuity. Faith is timeless, and with the right support, so are the sacred spaces that nurture it. Together, we will ensure that Ste. Anne’s continues to be a home for worship, a refuge for those in need, and a light for all who seek Christ. We are honored to stand with you in this mission—not just to preserve this beloved church, but to help it thrive.
