A new operating model for the Basilica of Sainte Anne de Detroit and multi-million-dollar commitment from the Pulte Family Charitable Foundation is ensuring the historic Catholic church is around for another 200 years while establishing the framework for similar efforts in other Midwest states.
Ste. Anne in Southwest Detroit is the first church in the region to see tens of millions of dollars from the foundation as part of its larger initiative to ease financial burdens on Catholic churches and/or schools that have vibrant parishes but lack financial resources.
The goal is to ensure they remain the heart of their communities in perpetuity.
