Tammye Raster
Director of Mission Support Services
Tammye Raster brings to the team a broad range of experience from her previous role directing the Alumni Relations Office at Notre Dame Law School, where she dedicated 11 years to building and maintaining strong relationships between the alumni and the law school while supporting the institution’s mission. In her new position, she will play a vital role in fortifying operational rigor, upholding The Catholic Initiative’s brand integrity, and enhancing donor relationships through fundraising support, stewardship, and event management.
Tammye’s dedication to The Catholic Initiative aligns with her personal journey, her strong connection to the Catholic faith, and in her family’s experience of being nurtured by a supportive Catholic community in South Bend. After graduating from Saint Mary’s College and Notre Dame Law School, she married Bob, a doctor and Notre Dame graduate, and began her career with the Chicago law firm of Pedersen & Houpt. In 1996, they returned to South Bend where they were blessed with seven wonderful children: Catherine, Madeline, Meghan, John Patrick, Elizabeth, Mary Claire, and Thomas. Once in South Bend, Tammye devoted herself to raising their children, volunteering and fundraising for her parish, the Catholic grade school, and the community. Their family was the beneficiary of an amazing Catholic community that nurtured their faith and taught them to love and support their neighbors.
Through her role at The Catholic Initiative, Tammye is dedicated to ensuring that these places of worship, fellowship, and Catholic education continue to flourish in communities for future generations.
