Nancy Pulte Rickard

Board of Directors

Nancy Pulte Rickard, MPA, is a philanthropist and the President and Chairman of the Board at the Pulte Family Charitable Foundation, an organization that supports nonprofits and academic institutions that work to address humanitarian initiatives in the United States and globally. She leads with conviction and compassion, continuing the legacy of her father, William J. Pulte (1932–2018), a humanitarian and builder who believed deeply in faith as a force for action.

Nancy is the daughter of William J. Pulte (1932-2018), a humanitarian, builder, and the founder of PulteGroup. “He taught us to give boldly, quietly, and with our whole hearts,” she reflects. “The Catholic Initiative reflects that same spirit.” Nancy advances her father’s legacy by providing leadership for the Pulte Family Charitable Foundation’s strategies, direction, and partnerships, such as the Pulte Institute for Global Development at the University of Notre Dame. She is passionate about the mission of The Catholic Initiative to support churches, ministries, and faith-rooted programs that are often rich in spirit but poor in resources.

She received her Bachelor of Business Administration in management from Albion College and a Master of Public Administration with a minor in economics from Bowling Green State University. Nancy has been recognized by Authority Magazine as a Social Impact Hero. She is a trustee of the Order of St. John of Jerusalem Knights Hospitaller (Malta), OSJ Commandery of Florida. Nancy serves on the Advisory Council for the Keough School of Global Affairs at the University of Notre Dame and the Notre Dame Family Philanthropy Network Committee.
